LSC331   International Field Study - Landscape in Practice   (20 credits)

Description

This module aims to engage students in current practice in Landscape Architecture through inquiry based learning. Contemporary issues are introduced and critiqued primarily through participation in a staff-led European study tour. Students undertake reading and case studies prior to the trip, conduct on-site observations and drawing, and afterwards produce a report on their chosen area of inquiry. This independent research study is supported by a seminars addressing current professional practice in the UK and internationally, political and professional drivers of change and advanced landscape theory. Integral to the module is career planning and portfolio preparation for the year in practice.
